Divre Shalom Hebrew School offers a curriculum of supplementary Jewish education in a challenging and enjoyable atmosphere. As the only Sephardic supplementary school in the GTA, we take great pride in helping students explore their unique Sephardic heritage, and fostering a love of Israel. We provide a curriculum that includes Hebrew Reading and language, Jewish Holidays & Traditions, weekly Parsha (Bible) stories and Jewish History. Arts and Crafts are completed for all of the Jewish Holidays. Divre Shalom is dedicated to maintaining a small student/teacher ratio. We recognize the individual needs of each student and therefore offer both enrichment, and remedial reading programs to ensure that all students achieve their maximum potential. We have a Special Education consultant on staff to facilitate the learning process. In addition to our Basic Curriculum, the school arranges a variety of special events during the year to give the students an awareness of their Jewish heritage and enhance their positive Jewish experiences.
